Caroline Francis is the Managing Partner of the firm and heads the Intellectual Property Division in Ram Caroline Sha & Syah. She has more than 30 years’ experience in handling various forms of intellectual property matters for both foreign and domestic clients relating to trademarks, copyright, industrial designs and patent; enforcement of Intellectual Property  rights; prosecution of trademark, patent and industrial design applications; agreements related to IP, mediation and settlement of IP related disputes, protection and maintenance strategies of various IP rights. Caroline also advises on matters related to licensing, franchising and related agreements as well as various regulatory laws.

She is active in several local and international professional organisations including Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA), International Trademark Association (INTA) and Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA). Caroline has presented papers on intellectual property law in seminars and conferences organised at several international, regional and local conferences. She has also served as an examiner for the Patent Agent Examination from 2011 to 2017.
