Ram Caroline Sha & Syah (formerly known as RamRais & Partners) started as a humble general practice law firm in 1973 with the partners taking on work in all areas of law with dedication and commitment.   

The firm was founded by three founding partners, Mr. Hariram Jayaram, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais bin Yatim and Mr. Yap Choi Ken. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais bin Yatim and Mr Yap Choi Ken left the firm soon after formation to pursue careers and opportunities passionate to them. Mr. Ram, as he was respectfully referred to, continued the journey to build the firm to very much what it is today.

After 40 odd years, the firm is widely regarded as one of the leading law firms in Malaysia in many areas including Intellectual Property, General Litigation and Conveyancing. It is currently headed by Mrs. Caroline Francis as the Managing Partner and three other partners, Ms. W.A. Shashila, Mr. Syahredzan Johan and Ms. Anita Kaur Gerewal.

The firm provides a full spectrum of legal services. It serves a wide range of local and international clients including multinational conglomerates from the United States, Japan, Korea and Europe.
